Who We Are

SlayterphotoMary Ellen Slayter is managing director of Reputation Capital Media Services. Before creating her own content marketing firm, she served as director of content development and a senior general business and finance editor at SmartBrief, a leading publisher of e-mail newsletters. There, she led the editorial development of the SmartBlogs network, including SmartBlog on Leadership and SmartBlog on Social Media.

Before joining SmartBrief, she spent 8 years at The Washington Post, where she authored the Career Track column and worked as an editor in the business news department. She has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in agronomy from Louisiana State University. That means she can correct the pH of your lawn, as well as the errors in your content marketing strategy.

There, she also managed U.S.-based writers as well as team researchers and writers in Manila, Philippines, and worked on several projects to improve SmartBrief’s content offerings and customer service.

Before joining SmartBrief, Brooke worked for UCG as an editor on its Home Health Line newsletter, as an assistant research editor at AARP The Magazine and as a freelance reporter for publications including The Washington Post. She has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland where she reported on crime and justice stories and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Indiana University.

Brooke is serious about work and sassy about life. She spent two years living in Japan and completed the Athleta Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon in 2011. She loves travel, biking, happy hour, crafts and any time someone else does the dishes.

logoDominique Rodgers is the office manager at Reputation Capital, which means she specializes in a little bit of this, a little bit of that, organization, details and haranguing all the other people on this page when necessary. Before joining Reputation Capital, she worked for several years at Louisiana Fish Fry Products and Benny’s Car Wash, two of Baton Rouge’s best-loved family businesses, specializing in payroll and human resources. She is currently finishing up her final undergraduate year at LSU after testing out nearly every possibly major on campus and then landing back on General Studies. If the planets align correctly, she’ll get her Masters in HR by 2016.

She loves all dogs, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and pineapple on pizza. Fears include heights, clowns and falling off her treadmill desk once it arrives.

Taylor Dupuy Content Marketing Reputation CapitalTaylor Dupuy is the content marketing intern for Reputation Capital Media Services. She is a student at Louisiana State University, majoring in psychology. She got her start with Reputation Capital writing blog posts at SXSW 2013.

Outside of work and school, Taylor will most likely be found in a coffee shop, buried in a book, discussing topics that make her heart sing, including holistic health, healing, quantum physics and consciousness.
